| Metheny apparently has a deep discomfort with his photographic image, and we shot a lot of film to make sure we had a few that he'd like. I rushed the finished slides to his hotel room for his approval, and he promised to forward the shoot to DownBeat. He proceeded to lose most of the shoot on the road; the slides were found months later, by a roadie, in his wardrobe trunk. |
